Exploration
Exploration is an essential component of the Novaverse experience. When users enter the Novaverse as a Xer for the first time, they'll be free to explore and find their place in the universe.
Space travel is made of two cornerstones, Interstellar Exploration and Intergalactic Exploration.
Interstellar Exploration
The primary activity that any player will perform is to use their SEV to explore their home Nova.
Even the most basic SEV can traverse to every corner of the Nova if it has enough fuel to afford the travel.
Through Interstellar exploration, users will find new Exos to extract valuable resources, such as HRM and MICO, necessary to develop and unlock fundamental advances within the Novaverse or trade them for other goods.
Once discovered, some Exos can be converted to a home base or a deep-space outpost.
Interstellar exploration will have a MICO cost. The needed amount of MICO will ultimately depend on the used SEV and travel distance.
Users with basic SEVs will experience higher traveling expenses. Using advanced SEVs modules will allow faster and cheaper travels.
Intergalactic Exploration
Although Interstellar Exploration is fundamental to finding valuable resources and new worlds, sometimes you can feel trapped in an over-explored and exhausted Nova. That's when Intergalactic Exploration shines.
The Intergalactic Graph is the map of Mass Relays that connects one Nova to another through the Intergalactic Edges (I-EDGES).
Each Nova will have exactly one Mass Relay, connecting one or more Novas.
The Intergalactic Graph is a connected graph, which means there'll always be a minimum of one path between two Novas. However, SEV's can only perform Intergalactic jumps one I-EDGE at a time.
Performing Intergalactic jumps consumes high amounts of MICO, and it's only possible through special enhancements to the SEVs. These requirements make Intergalactic exploration a more challenging endeavor than its Interstellar alternative.
